We made it to our destination! It was a very long day getting here...but alas...we are here! On our way to Kalispell, we drove around Flathead Lake, which is the largest and natural, freshwater lake, west of the Mississippi! This lake is amazing, and very clear water. I have to say, even more beautiful than Lake Tahoe. YES. Once we made it past the super large lake, we found our campground. This KOA is between Kalispell and Whitefish... and is the coolest KOA I have ever seen, and so beautiful! They have so many fun amenities, and we got a nice spot on the end. It feels so great being up here in Montana; and to be so North! The sun didn't even set until, 9:45 pm...the last picture on this post, with the kids, was at 10:00 pm, local time. Do you see that sky still lit??? The kids were also super tired. Look at poor Mr. Kent, and Samantha's face, cute. We took an evening drive (a loop drive), up and around Whitefish, back down to Kalispell, and back to the KOA. I got to see where Jeff used to live, back in 1999-2000, for a year. A cute little 100 year old house, in an older, classic neighborhood. It was sweet to see. It is neat to see where Mr. Law-Dog, stomped around up here! There is also a picture of an old house, in Kalispell, and I took a picture of the sign about the house. That is the where the founder of Kalispell lived. He had that built for him and his family, and it is huge and stunning! Hi. I could live there. Also...the picture of the steam engine, is sitting in a park, at Columbia Falls, just outside of Whitefish and Kalispell. It is a lumber town, and yes, that massive lumber mill is still up and running today! Always nice to see! Being this far North is insane. From it staying light so late, and the moisture in the air. The big sky, big prairies, big mountains, big forests...BIG and breathtaking. I do believe tomorrow, we are planning to go to Glacier National Park. So looking forward to that! I was very thankful, when we arrived to our destination this afternoon. We are very far away from home, so this makes me very blessed, to be here, safely. Spending time with our little family, in God's country is a blessing!
