We departed Lake Powell this morning...and made our drive to Richfield, Utah. The scenery the whole way was absolutely breathtaking. Utah is another gorgeous state. We drove through many little Mormon towns, all old with history. I love this kind of stuff! It makes me happy. We arrived at our KOA in Richfield, Utah, in the later part of the afternoon. *On a quick side note...this vacation of ours, we have started it with one of the largest heatwaves on record. Everywhere is frickin' hot!* So when we arrived at our campground, it was at least 100 degrees, and the elevation here is 5200 ft.! We were all dying, and sweating trying to setup, and get that air conditioning on! Once all set up...the kids and I immediately hopped into the pool (which is directly behind where our unit is set up)! So refreshing! We are taking advantage of swimming on this trip...which is clearly, needed. After a good pool time, dinner time. How about some hot dogs, chips and dip, grapes...and ice cream sundaes for dessert?! I thought so...so we did. After dinner, with it being summer, and further north; the sun doesn't set until around 9:00...so we took a drive. That's when we explored this little town of Richfield, and connecting historic towns, that just flow within each other. So awesome! I loved the smell of the green fields being watered, and the stormy looking sky, surrounding the near mountains. This is farm land, and Jeff and I appreciate so much! Now I am sitting here, outside our trailer, by our little propane fire pit, blogging. The kids are asleep, and the Law-Dog and I are enjoying this lush place in Richfield. Tomorrow we wake up early, because that will be one of our longest drives TO our next destination...Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Oh boy!
