Happy Halloween!

Stay tuned for some pictures of tonight's Trick-or-Treating! The kids were practicing going door to door last night, by closing a door in the house and "knocking" and then saying, "trick-or-treat." So funny! They are SO ready for getting dressed up and getting lots and lots of sugar! Good times, good times. I will get back to posting after tonight:)

We would like to point out, that Kent was being monitored closely because those of you that have seen our train tracks, know they get pretty high (hello trestle). He did a great job and was so proud of himself! What a handsome little man:)

Another weekend full of "busy"ness & FUN!

The kids, Jeff and I headed out to CA. for the weekend because Jeff's boyhood friend was getting married. So we dropped the kids off at the folks in Palm Springs, and Jeff and I went to his brother Mark and Paula's for the weekend. We haven't been to their place in just over three years...BAD on us! But we finally made it. I just love those two. They are so entertaining and funny to watch (especially Brother Mark). It really was great to have some quality time with them, it is so rare. Mark and Paula took us to a great Italian restaurant on our first night in, and then some bowling! Love it. Jeff and I hadn't bowled in ten years plus, so it was way too much fun...plus, Jeff kicked Mark's butt at it. Two wins out of three, can't beat that:) It was a cool bowling alley; very lounge like with descent music playing, darker with awesome lighting. The next day we had to go to the wedding. That was a nice Catholic wedding. It was very simple actually. We got back to Mark and Paula's around 9ish...so they surprised us (more like refused to let us in on the secret) and took us to get a late night massage...A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Poor Jeff, though, he is not one for massages or anyone (including me) touching his feet. He did like it after all, but is sore:) An experience was needed for that man. All in all, it was a great weekend with the family. Sunday we traveled back to Palm Springs and spent the last night at the folks house, and visited with Joshua, always hilarious. A little "Wii" action and off to bed. So there. That is the 411 on the weekend. So looking forward to staying home this weekend after being gone the last two.

Well, what can I say? Our baby is three! Our little pumpkin. It is crazy that our first born is five...hard to accept...and our youngest is three... but I will get by:)

We finally got to take our trailer out again for a three night camping trip! We first camped at De Motte campground which is up by the north rim of the grand canyon. It was absolutely breathtaking with all of the fall colors! The first day was a perfect cool fall day...the second day was colder and windy...so we spent the day over in Zion National Park. That is one spectacular place...amazing. We got to drive through their one mile long tunnel (the kids loved that)! On the way back to our campground we decided to take the scenic route and check out all the little Mormon towns...including...COLORADO CITY. Oh my. I really wanted to see this place because as you all know, it is a polygamist town (Warren Jeffs scandal, etc.). From the moment we pulled onto a street into their "town" it all felt very uncomfortable. Their compounds were huge and poor looking. We saw the women dressed in their long dresses, hair long and braided...like tons of children per compound. It seems it was their shopping day..all of them were unloading large boxes of food from their vans. I didn't take any pictures...because I was fearful that we were being watched...outsiders and all. Some of the compounds were blocked with solid fences, blocked out their windows...creepy. It was something we had to do, but were so happy to get out of that strange world.

Continuing on about camping...so it started to get really cold and windy and stormy up at the north rim country (even a night time thunderstorm); so on our third day we packed up and headed down to our Lee's Ferry. We love camping there. We finally got the best camp spot in that campground...the river view...but we were dealing with gale force winds that day! It was beautiful still. We walked down by the water...oh that reminds me...movie quote..."Where's Wyatt?" Down by the creek, walking on water." Love it...so we had a grand of a time at Lee's Ferry, the Lonely Dale Ranch, the river...headed home the next day. It was a full camping weekend. Did I type enough for you? Now some pictures...
