FUN DAY!

A day at the folks house! Horseshoes; baseball; building forts with Kent; eating great food; laughing; and loving the "spring temperatures!"

Last day of February!

Okay. I don't know if any of you are allergy sufferers, like I am, but man oh man! This whole week has been horrible with the allergies! My head has been in a fog; I have been tired; nose stuffy and sneezing; eyes watering and itching. Something has been stirred up in the air, because the winds were blowing this week.

My CNA class was interesting this week. We had to feed each other all types of food. I would rather feed some one than be fed. It was awkward! We were also taught how to clean the perinea area. Yeah.

Jeff and I had a date night last night! We went to our favorite little restaurant in town, "The Red Raven" (we only go there w/out the kids) and then we headed into Flagstaff for the movie. We saw "Gran Torin!" Loved it! Wow! Clint Eastwood still has it. That was the best movie I have seen in a really long time! All I can say is, see it, if you haven't already!

Just another day of information

I really don't have anything new going on. This is just a random post, no big deal.

My classes are moving right along with the semester. I actually have my first clinical day at a nursing home on March 7th! That would be the day before Jeff's and my anniversary! :) I have four 10 hour clinical days for my CNA class. Crazy. Two at nursing homes and two at the hospital.

Jeff is waiting so very patiently to get his steam boiler back. The train guy has had it for like four months. Jeff would like to repair his engine, but that part needs to be here. Oh the pain! Oh the agony!

The kids are rockin' and rollin'! Getting busier with their days. Samantha loves to spin around and around, and around. I think she is going to be artistic in dance or music (maybe she'll follow my talent with the piano)! She can listen to music and just go with it.

Kent on the other hand, gets all embarrassed if we "catch" him dancing! Silly boy. He is actually wanting to go to Disneyland so badly! His mother wants to go too:) I haven't been there in years, but Jeff on the other hand? It has been like 17 years! I am hoping to get to Disneyland in the next few months? I don't know. The kids would have a blast! I was showing them the Disneyland website, and oh, how excited they got! Especially seeing Tinker-Bell for Samantha! Let's not forget Mickey! Kent loves Mickey Mouse! So cute.

The Birthday Boy!

Happy Birthday Jeff!

It is the simple things in life! This cake was from Mom and Dad, celebrating early, on Valentine's Day (that's why it is a heart cake)! It was gooood, gooood! For his actual birthday dinner (which was tonight) I cooked him his favorite 7-bone roast, homemade mashed potatoes, corn, and his favorite dessert (from his Mom's recipe), apple crisp!

I don't need this or this...

We received lots of snow! They called off school today, thank God, because the roads were such a mess! So today was a lazy day, inside by the fire...

Snow everywhere. That is Jeff's tractor, getting warmed up to plow our driveway and road. Can you see Jeff through the trees, standing next to the tractor? Just barely...

Yes, it is true.

We just put our house on the market. We plan to relocate outside of Tucson, AZ. Why would we ever want to do that?! A few good reasons: The desert is BEAUTIFUL out there; it saves Jeff an hour to our laundromat in Glendale; better schools for the kids, more job opportunities for me (with my future CNA license and ONE DAY, my RN degree) and the good old fashion, "it's time for a change." We feel that this new venture will benefit our lives.
Let me make one thing clear, we are NOT moving in the city limits, but rather near by, where we can get an acre of land or so (for the railroad, of coarse)! :) In the mean time, we continue our lives up here in Northern Arizona and we treasure our time up here. This is a bitter-sweet change for us, and we will miss our Williams home. We have always loved it up here and will miss soooo many great things, FRIENDS, the amazing monsoons in the summer, umm, the SUMMER temperatures, the changing seasons, etc! We understand that deserts get HOT in the summer, but we will adapt; and we can and will come back up to the high country to visit our friends and favorite places, and there will always be camping! I can go on and on.... I will keep you all informed with the progress of everything, because after all, you can't move, until the house sells! So I ask that you all PRAY for us! Thanks in advance:)

The campground. Need I say more? This is Gilbert Ray campground located in the Tucson Mountain Park. Also in this area is the Saguaro National Park (all those amazing saguaros!), Old Tucson Movie Studios and a great desert museum, with lots of cute animals, creepy desert creatures, and just the most beautiful desert landscape. This is how all deserts should be:)

This was a camping trip that just Jeff and I took. We needed some alone time and we enjoy making trips to Southern Arizona (especially in the winter). The temperature was in the 70s all weekend, with still a chill around the upper 40s-50s in the night. I highly recommend anyone interested in camping, to make a trip down in the Tucson Mountain Park...I should get paid for advertising it:)
