Post Thanksgiving Day

Yesterday was pretty wonderful. I got up, prepared my turkey and dressing. We put up the Christmas lights, gave my chickens the fall pumpkins (hello it was their Thanksgiving feast as well), and then I had to make my mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn and green beans, gravy, rolls...the classic Thanksgiving meal! I was so happy that my turkey turned out! It was extremely moist and just devine! My stuffing was Jeff's, Mom's recipe, that I got from Aunt Nancy...and it brought back all the memories to Jeff, and he said, it was like his Mom was here with us! That makes me happy, that I could carry on that classic stuffing tradition, and that I did it right! I enjoy cooking and feeding my family. It was a pleasant turkey late afternoon dinner, and we all had our full tummies! We then finished putting up all the exterior lights...which seemed to have taken forever, but it was nice that we were all together, with stunning weather for the day. Today I'm going to finish decorating for Christmas, inside! It's just me and the kids, since poor Jeff had to go to work today. So more pictures of the Christmas decorations, later! 

Weekend Visit With Paula & Mark...Bazaar!!!

Okay folks...here it is Wednesday, and I'm finally posting about this past weekend. Brother Mark and Paula came out for a visit. They arrived Friday, early evening, and stayed through Monday morning. Paula, Samantha and I went to the Holiday Bazaar, on Saturday; while Jeff, Mark and Kent, went out shooting. The bazaar was a hit, even with the weather being wintery. I think the snow falling, made the people want to get out and shop...it just felt like Christmas was in the air! I sold many of my items, and I still have orders to fill! This year was a thousand times better, than last year! So yippie yi yea! It was nice having Paula with me. We don't get to see them that often, so quality time was FANtasTIC! Mark, Jeff and Kent, did stop by, at the bazaar to say hello...then off they went, to be manly men! After the bazaar, we came home for some down time, then we all headed out to Downtown Flagstaff, at the Weatherford Hotel, to have dinner at Charley's Pub. We usually only get to eat there once a year...so we all enjoyed that dinner. Sunday we decided to go to Williams, have some pizza, at the Pizza Factory, and then walk the little town, to check out the shops...while the snow fell the whole time! It was classic. Something you'd see on a Hallmark Christmas movie! It was a low-key day, that we all wanted. When we came home...more Hallmark Christmas movies welcomed us. We cooked up some pasta for dinner, and enjoyed the rest of our evening together.  The weekend was wonderful, from the bazaar, to food, to having our family visiting. Good times! 

A November Sunday Evening

Hello. Yes it has been a while since my last post...I have been a bit of a busy person these days. Everything is rolling right along here...not too much to say, except that I have been working a lot at the school; Jeff has been working a lot, and the kids going to school (the usual around here). I have also been stepping it up with my craft making, because it is THIS Saturday, that I have the bazaar. Oh boy! We will be having brother Mark and Paula out for a visit, the same weekend as the bazaar, so definitely looking forward to that! We love getting to spend time with them, and the kids will be so very thrilled. Last weekend, we were actually up in Crestline, visiting with Dad and Mom Stafford. A quick weekend, but great none the less! Grandpa Bob helped Kent build a two story cabin (absolutely adorable), and he helped Samantha build a wooden corral, complete with the gate door, that swings back and forth. I took a couple of photos of the two projects. That was super sweet of Grandpa Bob, to help the kids with their wooden projects. They will always remember that special quality time, that's for sure! This weekend, we stayed home, so I could work on my crafts, and Jeff took Kent to the Scottsdale train park today, while Samantha hung out with me. It was a chill weekend, which is always appreciated. That's all I have to say for now!

Christmas Creations Continue!

Oh boy! Check out these cuties...my snowman ornaments! I've been painting them today...assembling later. Pretty excited about all these Christmas creations I've been creating...and something really special...my pine cone Christmas trees! These rustic Christmas trees are VERY time consuming! Here's a picture of one that is completed. I'm outta control! 

A November Date.

I have to say, Jeff and I finally had a date day...since our anniversary, back in March. We didn't get to "getaway" for the weekend, but we did get between the school hours of 8:00-3:00pm, alone. Much needed. Much. So, we hopped in the Mustang, and headed to Sedona, and had some lunch at The Coffee Pot restaurant (home of the 101 omeletes). Our lunch was fantastic, and the autumn day in Sedona was so pleasant. I took many photos of our drive, along Oak Creek Canyon. Riding along, next to my Law-Dog. Pure happiness. When we got back up to Flag, we did our grocery shopping, and grabbed a Starbucks for our ride home. A great date day! I can't believe Jeff and I haven't had a date since March. That's not good. It's so important to have alone time with your spouse, it's healthy. Today was a blessing from our good Lord, and it helps us recharge for our kiddos as well. Fantastic!
