Mr. Kent Finally Gets His Blanket!

I finished crocheting Kent's throw last night! I took my time getting it done...but it's finished! He looks so cute, holding it up for the picture! Now both kiddos have their blanket, made from their Mama! 

Christmas Decorations AND Snow Making!

Today was a full day of decorating the house for Christmas! Lights are up, tree is up and decorated...everything looks so magical once again! It is the most wonderful time of the year! Now on to snowmaking...Jeff built a snow making machine! Yes. Yes he did. It hooks up to two air compressors and our water hose, and then as soon as the temp reaches 26 degrees...it's time to make some snow! Jeff and Kent have been making snow for hours now. They love it! The pictures are pretty cool, showing that snow shooting in the air! 

Thanksgiving 2014!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving today. I cooked up our tasty dinner, while Jeff and the kids put up our Christmas lights outside. We then sat down around 3:30, and had our turkey feast! So, so, very moist, and flavorful. Everything was amazing! Now we are all stuffed, and a little turkey comatose...and just relaxing. I started decorating for Christmas, but will need to continue it tomorrow. I love this time of year! More pictures to come, when everything is up and decorated! 

The Perimeter.

I'm finally posting pictures of our electric fence, around our property, and the two gates, that Jeff built. We have an electric perimeter fence, with five wires. Jeff did it all by himself, and he did an amazing job! The two gates are made with 2x6s, and very heavy. They will be painted (that will be my job), a dark barn red, because that will look awesome and adorable. 

Making Snow!

We took an afternoon drive, up to the Snow Bowl, because Jeff saw on their webcam, that they were blowing snow today. The kids and I had never seen snow making in process, so Jeff took us up there. It was very cold and windy...perfect conditions for making snow. The Snow Bowl plans to open for ski season this Friday, so they have to get to it! It is so cool to see and hear those blowers produce the snow. 

It's A Little Chilly Out There

So this happened. At 7:00 am this morning. It's November 18th people. November 18th. Burrrrrrrrrr!

Birthday Weekend

I had a really nice birthday, with my Mama, Nana, Pappy, Jeff and the kids. Mom, Nana, and Pappy, arrived Friday (my birthday) afternoon. I was pretty excited to see them after work. Jeff was already home as well. So for my birthday dinner, I wanted to go to the Cracker Barrel. Good food, good prices, good country store. Love it all. At home we had  yummy homemade pies (a pumpkin and a berry pie), from a pie shop in Prescott, called "Berry's." That place has great food and AmAzInG pies!!! It was very sweet that Mom brought up the pies and tons of food! She is always so very thoughtful, and we appreciate her. Saturday, Mama, Nana, Samantha and I went to Flag, to do some birthday shopping; while the boys hung back at the house. When we got home, Samantha made Nana and Pappy watch "Frozen." Nana didn't understand who Olaf was, and we just can't have that kind of confusion around here. When you're family, expect to be "Frozenfied." We really had a lovely day. Saturday night we all hunkered down and drank some wine, while watching some tv. Jeff was playing with the HO train table (of course). So adorable. Love that man. The family headed home this morning and the day was spent at home, just the way I like it. Jeff was continuing fence and gate work today (pictures coming soon), so he stayed very busy outside. It's looking good! Thanks again to everyone that wished me a Happy Birthday, and for my birthday gifts! Very blessed to have such amazing family and friends.
