Samantha's Kindergarten Graduation!!!

Today was Samantha's Kindergarten Graduation. Today was my baby's Kindergarten Graduation. Today was my last offspring's, Kindergarten Graduation. Has it hit me yet? I don't think so. As a Mama, this is such a bitter sweet milestone. My baby is growing up; and don't even get me started with my first born...going into THIRD GRADE!! What the frick?! Our children are growing up and getting smarter, bolder, more social, more adventurous, taller...all good things...but I see that this happens so very fast, right before my very eyes. Samantha's graduation was at 10:00am, and it was so cute. She only has eight students in her entire class...so the ceremony literally lasted 15-20 minutes. They sang a song, and read a poem; collected their diplomas; and then we all got to enjoy some of their classwork on display, and have some refreshments. It was very sweet, and Samantha felt very important, because she is! Tomorrow is Kent and Samantha's last day of school; and it will be a half day. The school is having a "field day;" and Ms. Paulette (the school's Secretary and nurse), called me this morning, to ask if I could volunteer with the field day. I said absolutely! That should be fun tomorrow. I also want to inform you all, that our son, Kent, won a brand new bike this morning. Two teachers stopped Jeff and I this morning, to inform us, that due to Kent doing so well with reading, and he earned the most points, he won a bike! Get out of here! How awesome is that?! The teachers were laughing , because they said Kent didn't know what to do with the news..." Like, really? I won a bike? How does that happen?' We are pretty proud of Kent too! That's an accomplishment!

Camping...FINALLY!

We finally got our trailer back, after being at Camping World for almost eight weeks. It was a huge drama, but it's all fixed now. So we took it out last weekend, back down to Dead Horse Ranch State Park. We arrived Friday, early evening, and came home Sunday afternoon. We did a lot of walking and hiking; and Kent rode his bike everywhere. The kids and I put our feet in the Verde River, let Curly get in the lagoons, to cool off. We visited Red Rock State Park, and it was amazingly beautiful! Full of green, lush landscape, water flowing everywhere, animals roaming; and lots of walking trails. We also had great weather, warm and breezy. Arizona never disappoints with beauty. I love our state! We had a fantastic camping trip! Now on to the next! 

Hello 4960. You're A Sight To See!

Lets see...Jeff had to work today... but when he came home, he added yet, another pump to our pond, to make the waterfall bigger and louder. It sounds and looks great. Blocks out more of the traffic on the freeway. Jeff is always looking at improvements for our pond, and I think it's pretty cute. Around dinner time, we rolled into Williams, grabbed some KFC...then watched 4960 steam back to town. It's such a beautiful engine and always a pleasure to see. Then we took the side roads home, and enjoyed this stunning country we live in. Blessed indeed.
