The best day on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad!

The kids had a blast on their first train ride! It was so beautiful all day. The Animas River was at it's peak! Roaring and rolling with rapids. The train ride is 3 1/2 hours both ways and the kids didn't complain at all. On the trip back Samantha actually fell asleep leaning on the side of the train car. She was looking out at the river and with all of the rocking, out she went. So that picture I have of her sleeping, is real. So funny. Kent is already requesting his next ride. He is hooked, of coarse :)

Hello, just a little post

My grades have been posted, and I am very relieved. I received an "A" in ALL three classes. That includes math! Never in my whole educational life have I ever received an "A" in math! I am in the best mood:) I want to keep up the good work for my future classes and I know what it takes, a lot of hard work!
Jeff, the kids and I went to buy flowers and herbs for me to plant the other day. I love planting flowers. I placed them around our deck, and in a new seating area right behind the house where Jeff's new steaming bay is located. It is also the new location to board the train. I will take some pictures of it.
Next week we plan on going camping. Taking our trailer to Durango, CO. and we will be there for a couple of nights. While we are there, we will be riding the steam train from Durango to Silverton back to Durango! That will be Kent and Samantha's first BIG train ride! Pictures will be taken :)

Update...

I passed my final exam for my CNA class and I received an "A" for the class! I now have to get a date scheduled to take the state board exam. Oh boy! The other two classes I have yet to find out how I did. Anxiously awaiting.

We just came back from Palm Springs over the weekend. Spending Mother's Day with my folks, brother and my grandparents. We had so much fun! We are a family that LOVES to play games. ALL DAY & NIGHT on Saturday we played the Wii game system (thanks to Joshua) and when it finally cooled down a bit, in the evening we all played with a Frisbee and batmittion (how to spell that?). I am so sore from all the game activities, but it's all good:)

We are having beautiful weather here in Williams. In the high 70s, can't complain about that! Our trees are blooming with leaves, birds are chirp ping, awe. This week I plan to re-stain our deck, plant some flowers and just straighten up the house a bit. As Jeff calls it, the "Beautifulcation Project." Love it.
