Summer Vacation 2013: Day Three: Lava Hot Springs, Idaho!!!

Okay now...it was a long day on the road getting to our next destination; but we made it to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, at the Lava Hot Springs KOA, this afternoon! The journey here was once again stunning. How can one get enough of this beauty? You can't...or at least, not for me. I love being up here. It's a different world, and one to appreciate. Water is everywhere, and it is so green and lush. Cows everywhere you look, farmers tending to their land...America at it's finest up here. Speaking of America...the little town of Lava Hot Springs is what you think of! Actually what came to mind, to Jeff and I, was right out of "The Great Outdoors"/ "National Lampoon's Family Vacation," rolled into one. The town is kept up, and quaint. Lots of rafts/tubing, thanks in part to the river that runs right through! We made a pit stop at an ice cream shop...to tap off our dinner, which we devoured in our trailer. It was gooooooooood. That ice cream I am holding (because I know you wanted to know), was praline cream, in a homemade waffle cone. Don't EVEN get me started with how frickin' fantastic that was! With it being so HOT...ice cream is really our thing these days. Don't tell my body that I am consuming all of this great food...or it will teach me a "weighed" lesson later! ;o) After our ice cream treat...we spent the bright evening driving around, checking things out. Peaceful and relaxing. Tomorrow we head to Dillon, Montana! We're making our way, aren't we?! I am also VERY THANKFUL, that we have arrived safely, to each of our destinations, thus far. Thanks to the good Lord. We pray every morning, in the truck, as a family, for our safety, and that God will watch over us. Mama didn't raise no fool!
