Here we are, in Montana! We arrived at our Dillon KOA this early afternoon, and settled in...literally JUST in the nick of time, before this HUGE rain/thunder/lightning storm started! The Lord was watching over us for sure! That was pretty exciting, watching the storm from the inside of our trailer. After it calmed down a bit...we hopped back in the truck, and headed to Virgina City, Montana! Yes. Virgina City. It is about 45 min. away from Dillon, and well worth getting back in the truck for. Jeff said I wouldn't be disappointed; and boy does my Law-Dog know me! I wasn't disappointed at all...I LOVED Virgina City! It is a mining town that established in 1863. I have never seen so many original wooden buildings (from 1863), still standing (and didn't burn in a fire), and still in awesome shape! We stopped in an amazing candy store, and yes, candy AND FUDGE was purchased! We then had dinner at "Bob's Place" pizza parlor, in the first brick building that was built in that town, via 1875. I thought my Arizona mining towns were old...you know 1880s IS still old...but when I saw this town from 1863??? Dang. Virginia City is celebrating it's 150 years, this year. Pretty cool. After that awesome experience, we made our drive back to our KOA. Took a little walk around, and said hello to a couple of really cute lambs, at the KOA's petting zoo. Hello. Hi lamb. Hi. They were so excited to see us, that they hopped and pranced like little antelope or deer. I could just take one home! As I am finishing this post up, it is currently raining, with the lightning and thunder in the distance again. So happy to see this type of weather! Tomorrow is our final destination, from June 30-July 5th, we will be camped at the Whitefish Kalispell KOA, in Montana! Have no fear...blogging will indeed continue each evening...because we have lots to see and do! I can't wait! Thank you Lord for keeping us safe and sound.
