It started off with me getting permission to totally change the look of the office...and I was granted free reign. I picked out my paint, I painted the walls, the desk (added new hardware as well); the front of the file cabinet was painted...Jeff purchased (and was paid back), the wood for the counter and swinging door, and went on to constructing it as well! That man can do anything! I painted the "MCSD" and the "Welcome." The handprints are Kent's and Samantha's. You could say, that counter and door is all Stafford...from Jeff building it, the kids handprints on it, and me painting it. A little Stafford history now a part of the school. Speaking of history, we got to the bottom of when this school became Maine Consolidated, and we found history with dates (which I printed out and framed them by the entrance of the front door). Our little Maine School established in 1927. It's important to know the history of things, so that's just awesome we now know! I'm really happy with how this office turned out. I still plan on hanging some artwork on the walls, and a new desktop computer is on its way...but overall, it's done! This sweet, warm, inviting office means business, and serves it's purpose for staff, children and their families. Pretty excited about it!
