Kids On Vacation With Their Grandparents AND Shearing Day!!!

Lots of pictures to post, so I'll try to keep the writing to a minimum...but probably not. Jeff and I dropped off the kids at my folk's house, in CA, last Saturday. The kids are staying for two weeks! I miss them so much, but I know they're having a blast! They've gone swimming lots of times, gone out to lunch with their papa; went to grandma's work hospital, and watched/listened to their grandparents do their music therapy for patients and their families. Dad took a sweet picture of the kids looking at their grandma as she's playing guitar. My Mom and Dad took Kent and Samantha to Disneyland yesterday and they stayed in a hotel next door to the park. Good times! Today, was shearing day for our Earp boys. With Jeff unable to leave work early, I asked my friend Mel to help me out. Rob (my alpaca guy and fiber processing guy), had his son in law come over to do the shearing. It was just him, Mel holding the lead...and then me. I had to assist a lot! It was so stressful for the boys and for me. It took a good couple of hours, from capturing them, to harnessing them, shearing them, teeth trimming them, and then, done. Poor guys, but they look ridiculous and adorable! Mel was a lifesaver! Being here for moral support and assistance. Love her!
