More On Lake Powell Camping Trip

Well we got back home, from our Lake Powell trip, yesterday afternoon. It was a wonderful time, and very chill (both weather and time). I have more pictures of our trip. Took a photo of some great American coal energy being produced. What a sight to see. We went to the Glen Canyon Dam. We didn't take the dam tour; so that will have to happen next time. It was so awesome. We had a dam good time. Not too many dam people there either. So enjoy the dam pictures. We took scenic drives around the lake, and over in Utah. Went through Big Water (a polygamist town). Dang. I just felt so uncomfortable the whole time we were out there. I was thrilled when we came back over to our Arizona side! We visited our Lee's Ferry. Love that place even in the winter! Very isolated. There were a group a river rafter goers, that were setting up for their departure down the mighty Colorado River! We were intrigued with them, and watched for a while. Talk about a cold time of year to float down the river...but that water temp is a steady 47 degrees year round. Add in the frickin' 20 something degrees with wind...burr! Speaking of temperatures, we were in an inversion the whole time we were in that area. Meaning in the 20s, up to 35 degrees tops (day time temps). That didn't bother us. It was so great getting to be out there in the off season. Not too many people, and we had that campground practically to ourselves. We will definitely be returning back to the Lake Powell Lodge area, at the Wahweap campground. Good times.
