Yesterday, July 1st, was the chickens first day to "free range;" and my...I was one nervous Mama! The girls and Marty did really well, and loved every bit of the outside world! They hung around the big cottonwood tree and the coop; went in and out of their coop, and just adapted to their new lifestyle of freedom (until sunset of course)! When we were sitting on the chairs, by the cottonwood tree, that is where they loved to hang out; being close to their family. The chickens bonded with Jeff. Talk about cuter than cute! This morning, when I opened up everything, they came on out once again, and found their way to the back area of the deck. Such the little travelers! Marty was talking the whole time. So there you have it...the chickens are free ranging!
