Our Boys

Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan arrived around 5:00pm, yesterday. They have already made themselves right at home! As soon as they we're let loose, in their new fenced area, they explored and bounced around. The alpacas do not challenge their perimeter fence, which is so great. Jeff finished up the electric fence, around after 9:00pm! We wanted to make sure our trio, would be safe in the night, from coyotes and such. Today has been so wonderful, just sitting and watching them explore their new home. I have been taking lots of pictures. Rob and Donna were so thoughtful, to haul the boys here, and we were able to buy 10 bales of orchard grass from them, for a great price. We will go through them to buy our hay. It's great to have alpaca people near by! I also want to share, that Wyatt and Morgan, have been giving me alpaca kisses on my face, and smelling my hair and face. This is how they get to know, and trust you. It's a slow process, to gain their trust, but we are willing to put in our time. You should also see how curious they are with the chickens! So funny. They run up to them, like they're eager to meet them...the chickens however, are terrified, thinking they are massive dogs, or something like that! They'll learn the alpacas are not a threat.
