Another Alpaca Visit...Shearing Day!

After work today, the kids and I headed over to the Mystic Pines Alpaca Ranch, for shearing day! The wonderful couple, Rob and Donna, invited me out to witness the crazy times, with having 30 alpaca sheared. It was crazy alright! They hire three professionals to get the job done. Alpacas don't like the shearing process at all, and they let you know it. You should hear what an alpaca sounds like, when screaming. It's horrible, funny and sad at the same time. But once they're sheared, all is right with the world, once again! I took pictures of the funny looking animals, after their fleece was sheared. I just love them! Also...our three "boys," were there, and I got to watch them being sheared. Two out of the three were so loud. Whiners. Ha. I got a couple of pictures of the two white males (yet to be named), and our brown one, I got his picture, while he was tied down, being sheared. The look on his face...confusion and fear; but he was fine. Alpacas aren't hurt while they get sheared, they just hate it! So yes, we are getting two white males and one brown male. The boys are  already ours, we just have to set up a time when we are ready to have them here. On a different note...more work on the Parks Mercantile mural, happened on Sunday. Uvet and I got more painting done, and Samantha's hands, were used to make the sunflowers! Cute cute! We are all doing well! Very busy and living life!
