My awesome neighbor, Judy, and I are crocheting afghan throws. Here's the thing...I never knew how to crochet, until one week ago, when Judy taught me how. I thought, no way I could actually do that. Crocheting has always intimidated me! Well. Judy is a great teacher and she showed me how to get it going, and continue it, when it's time for a new spool, etc! I've been doing it for one whole week, and absolutely love it! All of my free time (in between having to, you know, feed the kids and husband), I'm crocheting. Judy and I are in a little contest, on who can finish first. Let me be clear, Judy is a professional. She's been doing this for years; ALSO, she already had a huge head start before I got started. So you'll have to keep that in mind. Last night we sent each other a picture, of our progress on our afghans. Okay, so last night she won the battle, but I aim on winning the war. This is so much fun!
