Summer Vacation 2013: Day Seven: A Day Of Driving Around The Countryside!!!
Tonight's blog post, is pretty chill. We took in the area of Kalispell, Whitefish, went down to Bigfork, Somers; and drove on north hwy 93 (we were about 40 miles away from the Canadian border, but didn't go all the way, due to it being later in the night). That's the northeast part of the United States, I have ever reached. Pretty cool. I really didn't take too many photos today. I started out, with taking a ridiculous photo of Curly, looking our of the trailer. That is "his" window. Perfect in size for him. There is a picture of some miniature horses, and a llama, at the KOA petting zoo. I took a picture of the flags at the entrance of the KOA, because I liked seeing the KOA flag, the American flag, the Canadian flag, and Montana's flag. Cool picture. The little green engine, is historical, and part of a great northern railroad spur line, that went to Flathead lake. This engine now sits in the tiny town of Somers. I took a picture of a country farm, with yellow flowers galore! That's a little piece of heaven out there. I admire farm/ranch land so much. The old homesteads, farm houses, barns...all of it! Finally, the last picture, is a section of the old downtown, of Whitefish, Montana! Positively cute as a button! I didn't have a chance to walk the streets, and check out any stores, but what a sweet and clean place. I'll be back! So today was just a pleasant one, filled with leisure drives. That's how we get a "feel" for an area...check out the surrounding country roads, creeks, rivers, towns. All good things.
