Yesterday we spent the day down in Scottsdale, and visited the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park. We wanted to escape our freezing weather up here, so we headed down to the valley. It was actually pretty chilly and windy down there as well; but a very pretty desert day. We checked out the model railroads, and I was just in awe with that all! You talk about having patience to make these small buildings, trains, landscapes...pretty awesome. We got to take a ride on one of the Live Steamers engines (diesel), and also the park's steam engine, which you see in the pictures. After spending some time at that park, we headed over to the Maricopa's Train park...this park is funny, but cool. We rode along with one of their diesels pulling us as well. So you could say it was a train of a day!
