Water Scorpians. Really? Ewe.

Yesterday afternoon, we headed to Montezuma's Well, down by Rim Rock, Cornville, McGuireville. All these years I have never seen it. It was amazing! To think that this a natural well, being filled by a warm spring underground. It's 55 ft deep and something like, over 350 ft wide There are under water caves and it is a constant 74 degrees. The creepy part, though, there are leeches that come out at night, water scorpions, and other freaky creatures that dwell in this well. No fish though. Due to the high carbon dioxide. The ducks were loving their time there. Swimming it up, maybe munching on the tiny shrimps that live in that water. It was extremely windy yesterday...so the chill was in the air. It was still so great getting to see this well, and Indian ruins. We walked down to Beaver Creek, located below the well, and that water from the well, drains into the creek, which eventually goes into the Verde River. All fascinating! It was a nice little drive down there, not far at all from our home. I even stopped by a "hole in the wall" antique store in McGuireville. It was cute and stocked full. I bought me a vintage Coca-Cola crate for $14. Can't go wrong with that price! It is now sitting on the center of my harvest table, and looking good.
