I want some Cracker Barrel! I went there a few weekends ago, and it was wonderful. I don't go there enough. I love the country store. That place just makes you feel so comforted. I want one of those rocking chairs please. I just had to remark on the Cracker Barrel:)
Okay. Week one done, check. Thank God! I am very intimidated with this new semester. My math class is like a statistics, financial, chart/graph doing class. Nothing like I expected. Which is fine by me. I am intrigued with it at this time. English is the same, reading a lot, responding to the readings, posting class discussions, writing papers, etc. Now biology, yeah. That class scares me a bit. I have been out of any kind of science course since I was a sophomore in high school? A really long time. So this week I have felt like a fish out of water. I pray that I will find my routine with that class soon, and to remember the basics of biology. I also have to buy a book on the basics of chemistry, because apparently, we will be doing a lot of bio-chem. I have never taken a chemistry class. It wasn't required as a pre-req for this course. I plan on taking my chem class next semester. I know I can learn, and I should be fine, but like I said, I am a fish out of water, at this moment. To be continued...
Jeff and the kids had to adjust again with me being at school twice a week for a whole day (not like summer school when I was only gone for a few hours, and still made it home for dinner). On Tuesday, during my break, Jeff called and told me to talk to the kids because they were very upset that I wasn't home. How sweet. They really do appreciate their Mama! Yesterday the kids spent the day outside with Jeff; while Jeff was doing yard work. I love it when he takes the time to beautify our property. He is trimming the bases of the pinon pines and juniper trees to make a less of a fire danger. So instead of looking like massive bushes, they will look like trees:) He has already trimmed like six trees yesterday. That's my man!
I am so ready for autumn. I want the fall colors and the cool breezes. Sweatshirt and sweater weather. I want the comforting scents of pumpkin pie/bread and other baked goods that go with the season. The decorating with scarecrows, pumpkins, fall wreaths. Light a seasonal candle (which I have already started, pumpkin spice). I can't help myself! Fall is my favorite season! So I think I am going to change my background to my blog, with a fall scene. It is only Aug. 28th, and Fall isn't official until Sept. 22nd. So sue me:)
