Let's start how my Friday went...well...I was called in to the kid's school, to sub for second grade. That was my first day subbing, and I loved it! Mrs. Crouse (the second grade teacher and Kent's last year teacher), left me a detailed subbing plan. The morning started off with me giving the kids their spelling test; and the day ended with me doing an art project with them. Everything in between included reading, having them read out loud one at a time, me reading to them "Charlotte's Web," math worksheets (thank God it was only second grade math)! It was a full day, and I jumped right in, and felt that my first day was a success. Come time for home...I was EXHAUSTED. I slept so great Friday night! Those 10 kiddos took my energy! It looks like I'll be subbing for second grade again, on Tuesday morning, just the morning, because Mrs. Crouse will return later in the day. Did I mention how great the staff was with me? The kids too. Everybody knew who I was, and Kent and Samantha were so excited to have me at their school. I even sat down with Samantha, during lunch; and all the kids just kept smiling at me, and looking at me like I was a shiny new toy. Very cute. Now yesterday, Jeff, the kids and I went down to Chino, for the day, to spend time with my family. My parents, Nana and Papa, and Joshua came out. It was a great day of just getting to hang out and visit. Joshua, Jeff, Mom and I played Croquette...and as always...it was so much fun! We are all very competitive, especially Joshua and Jeff! Those two...look out! I enjoyed getting to see my whole family (it is very rare for ALL of us to be together at the same time), and to have a stormy looking sky for most of the day, and then finally, it started to pour rain, and cooled off that heat of the day. The kids had a great time as well...they love spending time with their grandparents, great-grandparents, and Uncle Joshua. It was a blessed day for me, and it meant so much to me. Thank you Lord Jesus, for that special day with my family. Here it is Sunday, and today we live in the Northwest. We awoke with a dark cloudy sky, and it has been raining since morning! It just keeps coming down and I am enjoying it! It feels like fall rain, which means, sweater/sweatshirt weather! Love, love, love it!
