Golden October Day

Today Jeff and I got to spend the day together! He had today off, since he had to work on Saturday. It was nice to have just the two of us, while the kiddos were at school. So Jeff took advantage of "our" time; and took us up to the inner basin, of the San Francisco Peaks. The fall colors are amazing up there right now! It is once again...EARLY! Here it is only October 1st, and a lot of the colors have peaked, or are about to. We hiked up a trail (about a mile up), and Jeff took me to this most breathtaking aspen grove. It took my breath away, and seriously, pictures do not give justice, to how truly stunning this area was. I was in heaven. I didn't want to leave. The aspen leaves were falling from the trees, casting this golden yellow light. The wind was gently rustling through the trees. It was a perfect day. Jeff knows where to take his wife, to see some of our most gorgeous places. I love rural America. To be able to get away like this, even just for a couple of hours; we are very blessed. So as you can see, I got carried away with taking pictures! How could I not?! God's beauty is everywhere, and especially in that aspen grove!
