Saturday we had another family day outing, and it was full! We started off driving down Oak Creek Canyon, through Sedona to stop for a late lunch; at the Coffee Pot Restaurant, which is famous for their "101 omelets." I had number 50, and it was so dang good! It is a super cute restaurant and I recommend it to anybody that goes to Sedona. After our tummies were full, we drove to the Page Springs fish hatchery. I didn't get any pictures there, but it was beautiful and fun to see these fish. We got to feed them too. I believe they were trout, and this fish hatchery supplies almost all of Arizona's lakes, dams, reservoirs with their fish. It is pretty awesome. Next stop...my favorite antique store!!! It is located in Cottonwood, and I love it! This place sits on two acres filled with tons of antiques. There is one main building, then some outer buildings, like a barn, and sheds, with antiques all around outside too. We got to go there last year for my Mother's Day, and that is why we went on Saturday (my belated Mother's Day gift). What did I end up getting? Two more old crates, one dairy and one from an orchard in Ohio. I love crates! I also got a super cute sign, that is painted "Lemonade." So summery. So I placed those items out in the front of our house. It will look so great once I get my flowers for the season. After that, we walked right next store to an old gas station that has been converted to a diner, and we had shakes and malts. I consumed that calorie filled shake till it was all gone! Satisfaction. Next stop, a drive through Jerome, and that is where these crazy mine shaft pictures were taken! Oh my gosh! This was a new thing right next to the Douglas Mansion State Park. They never had this shaft open to the public, and now they do. The pictures speak for themselves. My legs were actually shaking when I walked over that plexy glass, to see that 1900 ft. deep shaft. Something so creepy with mine shafts...it was awesome! After our little trip to Jerome, we took the dirt road home to Williams, and I took a distant picture of the Perkinsville Ranch. The Verde Canyon Railroad goes all the way out there. It is a beautiful and historic ranch by the tracks. By the time we got back to Williams, it was time to see engine 4960 with its special freight train excursion! We chased it a bit, on its way back to the station, so it was pretty dark already. It was so nice to see that iron horse work! Was that a day? Or was that a day?! Seriously.
