It is late Thanksgiving night, and I worked today. Actually, I only had to work my first four hours, and was cancelled for my last four. NICE. I wanted to be home so much with my kids and husband. An absolutely fantastic surprise?! Jeff and the kids stopped by the hospital and I got to eat my cafeteria turkey dinner with my family sitting with me. They already stopped at McDonald's for dinner before hand (Jeff forgot that the hospital was serving Thanksgiving dinner). I was so touched. I was so happy and "thankful" that my family got to be with me for a half hour while I was at work. After the dinner break, I brought the fam up with me to my unit to introduce them. I felt very proud to have them there. Now I know we aren't supposed to feel "proud," but I love my little family! When I said my good-byes and kissed them; Samantha looked so confused; like why isn't Mommy coming with us? She didn't want to leave me, and trust me, I would love to have her with me at work! What a cutie. I love Jeff for surprising me with the visit. I was after all a little bummed to be having to work on Thanksgiving. But it all worked out!
Now lets talk about Christmas! Our house is decorated! I did it yesterday and on Saturday, we will be putting up the outside lights! Yes! It's this wonderful time of year again! Our home is super cozy and magical with all of our little lights on :o)
