We received a wonderful visit form Aunt Nancy and Keith. They showed up Tuesday afternoon and spent the evening with us (well Keith went back to the hotel, so Aunt Nancy could stay and visit for a while). We ordered pizza and just sat around and chatted. She had the best time with the kids and they just loved her up! Everybody loves Aunt Nancy :-) We haven't seen them in so long...so it was a treat!
Well it is COLD outside! Where did our spring go? Yesterday we received two inches of snow, and last night it got down to 14.9 degrees! Today, on again off again snow flurries. Geeze. The water well people dropped off their rig on Tuesday and they should start drilling tomorrow. We just pray that they hit water! Always a risk. It looks great to see it out there. The trucks are like old military trucks. Yesterday afternoon Kent noticed some animals outside, sure enough, a herd of elk! They were right outside of our house. So many of them and they look so beautiful and fuzzy. Actually, they also looked annoyed that there was snow on the ground. The pictures of them are not that great because our camera is already outdated, that we don't have a great zoom in feature; but you can still see them.
I have been so sick since yesterday morning. Fever, chills, body aches, and a cough. I am going with the flu. This morning I was hoping to be better, but my fever went up to 100.7, so I did not make it to school today; and that is a big deal for me; because ever since I decided to return to school over a year ago, I have never missed a school day. Today was the exception. I would have passed this on to fellow students, and I always complain when sick people show up at school...so I remained home today. I think this bug is going around, and it got me good :-(
Since there is snow on the ground and it is so very cold out, Jeff has been stuck in his workshop building his steam engine. He really wanted to lay more track down; but that shall wait. Sigh.
