Whooooa! It's Easter!

Happy Easter everybody! HE is risen! It has been a very, very busy Easter, and weekend, here at the Stafford's house. I am so pooped as I sit here and type up this post...but I am also really excited to share what we have accomplished this weekend! First off...Saturday we got up and going so we could get our supplies for the outdoor chicken range space (for when they won't be roaming freely). We also picked up the paint for me to paint the barn/coop ;o) When we came home, work begun. I started painting, and Jeff started working on the fencing. I had almost completed the barn, but it was getting to be about dinner time, and I was starving...so I ended the work for the day, and so did Jeff. After we had our McDonald's for supper; we came back home to dye some Easter eggs! That was a nice way to end a busy day, with the kids. They had a blast, and Jeff and I also decorated ONE egg each! Now here we are today...after we read the true Easter story to the kids this morning, and recognized that this holiday is about Jesus, and not a bunny, they got to open up their Easter baskets. Then Jeff and I went outside to hide 46 eggs around the pond area, Kent's goldmine area and along the hillside. THAT WAS FUN! It was great seeing the kids go after them all. With this amazing beautiful warm day, it was perfect. After the egg hunt, I started finishing the painting, and Jeff, the outdoor chicken area. I had to help him occasionally, but he rocked the job, of course! His first time putting together an area for chickens, and he nailed it! What an awesome husband I have. We finished everything this afternoon. Another full day, and I even got sooooo sunburned on my arms :o( I hurt now, and got those sunburn chills. Brother! I didn't think about the sunscreen, and I am so dang white...it was gonna happen. We just wrapped up a chicken dinner, and the kids will be getting a bath soon, then off to bed! Can't wait to gel and do nothing for the rest of the evening. It was a good weekend.
