School days, School days, good old fashion rule days...

Books, books, and more books! You can't tell in this picture, but the Nursing book and Math book are HEAVY and LARGE! Out of control.

I have finished my first week in school. Wow! English, lots of papers and reading and participating. Math, so far, review, and my insructor likes to end class an hour early (that is just fine by me) I will have to work hard in that class! Finally, the reason why I dare go back to school... Nursing!!!!

This is the patch that all CNA Nursing students have to have sewn on the left sleeve of the scrub top, our caribbean blue scrubs!

The CNA coarse is awesome and scary! My instructor is so sweet, (but don't you dare be late or miss class) and she makes it interesting by telling us her experiences working in the hospitals. There are only 20 of us in class which makes learning and participating more personal. The first day we were taught how to wash our hands correctly....okay, how many of you actually wash your hands EVERY single time for 20 secs.? She put this "artificial germs powder" on our hands, and we had to wash it all off. How would she know? There was a black light and we could see what was still there, gross. It was cool. Last night we started working on taking blood pressures, the old fashion way! None of this digital crap :) Unfortunately, this skill does take a lot of practice, because she says so many students fail this skill. It is hard, believe it or not, but once we get the hang of it, we will all be pros! She'll be so proud of her CNA students this semester! All in all, I am enjoying school, thus far. I think having a nursing coarse makes me more motivated to take all the other courses that are required. I shall keep you all informed with the skills that I will continually learn this semester.
Now, you may be asking yourselves, "how did Mr. Jeff do taking care of the kids all by himself during my absences?" Really well. I am so proud of him. Daddy knows how to feed, change, wipe butts after toilet time, nap time, chill out time, play time, pj time, and wonderful bed time! The first week of school, Samantha had some kind of stomach bug, so I was around during most of it, but Jeff did have to deal with really runny diapers, if you know what I am saying...I know, just gross, but as a Mom, and Dad, you deal. Right all you parents out there? Right!

  1. I'm so excited for you! Going back to school after so long takes a lot of energy, but it will be worth it!

I hope the kids never have a dentist appointment like Kents! Poor guy! I'm dreading taking the kids back, but maybe in 6 months or so they'll be okay. I'm switching dentists thats for sure!

I hope you're having a good week so far! Talk to you soon!
